2.2 Voicemail Management (Phone)
Access your voicemail from your phone:
1. Dial *99 or press the Messages button (depending on the phone model, this button may have an envelope icon on it).
2. Enter your password (default 0000).
Access your voicemail from someone else's phone:
1. Dial *98.
2. Enter your extension.
3. Enter your password (default 0000).
Access someone else's voicemail from your phone:
1. Dial *98.
2. Enter the extension.
3. Enter the password (default 0000).
Access your voicemail from outside of the system:
- Call the main district number, 1-408-635-2600.
- Enter your extension.
- Press * when you hear the voicemail prompt begin.
- Enter your password (default 0000).
Change Voicemail Password
1. Access your voicemail following the steps above.
2. Press 0 for Mailbox Options.
3. Press 5 for Change Password.
4. Enter your new password.
Voicemail Greetings
Greeting Types
- Busy Message - This greeting is not used by default, but can be configured for use in a dial plan.
- Unavailable Message - This is the default greeting used for the voicemail box.
- Temporary Message - When recorded, this message will override any other voicemail greetings. In order to remove a temporary greeting it must be deleted.
Change Voicemail Greeting
1. Access your voicemail following the steps above.
2. Press 0 for Mailbox Options.
3. Record the desired message:
a. Press 1 to record your Unavailable Message.
b. Press 2 to record your Busy Message.
c. Press 3 to record your Name.
d. Press 4 to record your Temporary Message.
Delete a Temporary Greeting
1. Access your voicemail following the steps above.
2. Press 0 for Mailbox Options.
3. Press 4 for Temporary Message.
4. Press 2 to delete your Temporary Message.
