Prior to Milpitas Unified School District acquiring a Zoom account, some of our teachers and students have already begun using Zoom with a Consumer Zoom account. Milpitas USD over the summer signed up for a Zoom account. The Zoom accounts created prior to MUSD signing up for a Zoom account was not automatically joined to MUSD's Zoom account. As a result, each user will need to manually switch their account to MUSD.
Here are the steps to switch over your Consumer Zoom account over to MUSD's Zoom account. Your account must be in the form of staff@musd.org or student@student.musd.org to switch over to an MUSD Zoom account.
1) From a web browser, preferably Chrome, visit: https://zoom.musd.org and click on 'Sign in' and sign in with your MUSD Gmail account. If you see the tab as showing 'My Zoom Profile', then you already have a MUSD Zoom Account and you do not need to proceed further.
2) You will then see a Confirm your email address.
Click on 'Confirm your email address'. Zoom will then send an email for you take additional steps to switch your account.
4) Go to your email account and you should now see that you have an email from Zoom with the email address no-reply@zoom.us and open the email. You will see the following message.
5) Click on 'Switch to the new account' to proceed to switch over your account and the following window will show.
Please read the warning before you click on 'I Acknowledge and Switch' to finally switch your Consumer Zoom account to MUSD's Zoom Account.
